JE18 Rational or Transcendental?

Although both rationalists and transcendentalists believe in God and doing His work, they are actually quite different from each other. Rationalists believe that everything is derived from reasons. They think that God created the world and we have to use our knowledge to seek for the rules and the truth. They like civilization and making people happy, which they believed is a way to worship God. Transcendentalists believe that everything should be based on intuition and emotions rather than reasons. They love nature more than civilized places such as towns and cities. They think every human being is a part of the Divine Soul and that physical facts will lead them to the spiritual, or ideal world. In short, Rationalists uses reasons to solve problems while Transcendentalists follow their instincts.

Comparing both ideas to mine, I think I am closer to being a rationalist. I believe that reasons lead to a more pleasing, and possible solution. Sometimes instincts just go wrong. I think it is better to think it twice before doing it. Besides, I love civilization. Speak of traveling, I would only want to go to big cities and see their modern cultures. To be honest, I am not interested in places like National Park, Grand Canyon, etc.  I agree that sometimes follow instincts when you have no “rational” solutions is a pretty good idea. However, I still agree with rationalism more.
