JE20 Compare Heroes

            The Romantic heroes are described to be youthful and innocent. They have a sense of honor, look for higher principles, and based their life in intuition. Also, they love nature and quest for high truth in life. Comparing them to the heroes in today, they are pretty much the same in their minds. They are youthful and innocent and based their life in intuition. The only difference would probably be that heroes today live in cities. I can hardly find any prominent public figure that has the characteristics of the Romantic hero. Nowadays, people can based their logic on intuition anymore. Also, it is barely possible for a public figure to live in nature. Fictionally, people today consider heroes as those who are strong and who have superpowers and make peace in the society. That kind of heroes are admired by the residents because they help killing the bad guys. Some people, in reality, regard heroes as those who make a huge difference in their lives. Some similar characteristics between both heroes today and back in the Romantic period are that they both have knowledge of people and life and that’s how they can make a difference in others’ lives. I personally identify those who doesn't have superpowers but actually make one’s life better as the real hero.
